Line X

line x bedliner

The first thing you’ll notice about the Line X is it’s pretty thin. Some people hear thin and they immediately think flimsy, while others associate it with a sleek, space-saving design.

Actually, this is an asset of this liner. Since Line X products[1] are thin, they follow the contours of your truck bed closely and they hold the floor quite well. Your vehicle bed won’t be faced with any bubbling when the spray in bed liner is installed.

Despite that, Line X material has a pretty rough texture, which contributes to its anti-skid properties. That means it can hold cargo well. However, not everyone will find this rough surface appealing because it’s tough on the hands and knees. You may have to kneel and rummage in the back uncomfortably because of this.

In a gist, the Line X truck bed liner is rough, dries quickly, doesn’t run, and looks great.

If you want to tone the texture down, you can request customization and smooth the surface, but it may appear less glossy as a result. Since their biggest competitor is Rhino lining, Line-X claims that a hard surface equates to more durability and resistance to wear and tear.

The application process for the two products is pretty similar (as Rhino has come out with different products), so there’s no difference between the two in that aspect.

Still, it’s worth mentioning that a hard surface could also cause damage to cargo, especially to things like wooden crates. But if that’s not an issue for you, the Line-X bed liner is a good choice.

In the end, it really just comes down to whether you’re willing to sacrifice a bit of comfort for ruggedness.
